Privacy Policy – NeoVista

1. Overview

NeoVista ("we", "us", or "our") is a privacy-first messaging application developed and operated by NEOVISTA FZCO, a company registered in the IFZA Free Zone, Dubai.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose information in connection with the NeoVista mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you accept and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2. Data Philosophy: Minimal Collection, Maximum Privacy

NeoVista is designed to avoid collecting personal data wherever possible. We do not collect or store the content of your messages, calls, or files. We implement end-to-end encryption and temporary file retention, so your data stays private and in your control.

3. What We Collect (and Why)

• Account Setup: Invite code, device ID, and optionally a username
• Technical Logs: IP address, device type, OS version, crash logs
• Session Metadata: Time of login, sync, or message sent (no message content)

We do not collect:

• Contact lists
• GPS location
• Message or call content
• Files or photos beyond temporary delivery

4. How We Store and Handle Data

• Messages and Calls: End-to-end encrypted. We cannot access them.
• Files: Stored temporarily for up to 12 hours, then permanently deleted.
• Backups: Encrypted and device-controlled. NeoVista does not access your backups.
• Servers: Hosted with reputable third-party infrastructure (e.g. Firebase), located in privacy-compliant jurisdictions.

5. User Responsibility

By using NeoVista, you agree to:

• Use the App lawfully and in accordance with applicable regulations in your country
• Refrain from transmitting illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Understand and accept that you are solely responsible for any content you send, receive, or upload

We do not monitor or moderate content. We disclaim any responsibility or liability for how users use the App. You use NeoVista at your own risk.

6. Legal Disclosure

Due to encryption and minimal data retention, we cannot provide message content to any third party, including law enforcement.

However, where legally required by a court in a competent jurisdiction (within the UAE only), we may disclose limited metadata (e.g. account creation date, device type, IP address).

NeoVista does not recognise or respond to subpoenas or legal orders from foreign jurisdictions (outside the UAE), in line with UAE Free Zone data laws.

7. Use of Third-Party Services

NeoVista uses third-party infrastructure for hosting and analytics, including:

• Firebase by Google (infrastructure, authentication, and crash analytics)
• Stripe (for subscription payments – no card data is stored on our servers)

These third parties may receive technical data necessary to deliver the App. All such data is handled per their own privacy policies and security standards.

8. Data Security

• End-to-end encryption (Signal Protocol or equivalent)
• SSL/TLS transport security
• Limited-access servers and encrypted backups
• No long-term storage of user-generated content

However, no system is immune to vulnerabilities. Users are expected to secure their devices and credentials.

9. Children’s Data

NeoVista is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or process data of users under this age. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring compliance.

10. Your Rights

As NeoVista collects minimal personal data, we cannot provide access to messages or content. If you wish to delete your account or request account-related data, contact us at contact@neovista.app with your device ID and invite code.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
